My Collaborative Practice with Kerry Long
Collaborative practice has been a project that marks the end of the first year of my MA in Fine Art, and has been in collaboration with King's Lynn based artist Kerry Long. We have had an amazing journey foraging natural materials which were then broken down and made into natural pigments. We chose the subject 'Beauty We Fail To See' as a reflection of our joint curiosity for damaged or dying things or landscapes considered ugly. The results have been outstanding. 20 pieces of work have been exhibited at King's Lynn's Purfleet Brasserie. I made a large painting with our pigments added to oil paint and the effect was life-changing as an artist. 'Alone Again, I' is the beginning of a new series of work. Please follow my journey and return regularly to see the final outcome and exhibition at West Acre Gallery in Spring 2024. Kerry and I have developed a very special bond and we will continue to make work together in the future.
